Accessibility Statement
We are committed to making our website accessible in accordance with the Austrian “Barrierefreiheitsgesetz”, implementing the European Accessibility Directive (EU) 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services.
This accessibility statement applies to skischule-fiss-ladis.at.
Further information on the contract conclusion (description of our services, explanations on the execution of our services) can be found here: General terms and conditions
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.2” and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 due to the following incompatibilities and/or exemptions.
Non-Accessible Content
The following content is not fully accessible for the reasons outlined below:
a) Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- There are currently no alternative texts for non-text content. Criterion 1.1.1 Text Alternatives is therefore not fulfilled.
- The input fields of the contact form do not have any labels, which makes input more difficult for screen reader users. Criteria 1.3.1 Info and Relationships, 1.3.5 Identify Input Purpose and 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions are therefore not or only partially fulfilled.
- Our website uses colours that have an insufficient contrast value to the background, which makes it difficult for visually impaired users to read/see. This means that the criteria 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) and 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast are only partially met.
- In some cases, images of text are used that are not explained by an alternative text. Criterion 1.4.5 Images of Text is therefore only partially fulfilled.
- The fly-out menu on the right edge of the screen (desktop), which becomes visible by hovering with the mouse, cannot be hidden by clicking on it. This means that criterion 1.4.13 Content on Hover or Focus is not fulfilled.
- In some cases, clickable elements are not recognised by the keyboard focus, which makes it impossible to operate them using the keyboard control. This means that criteria 2.1.1 Keyboard ´ and 2.4.3 Focus Order are not met.
- The animation of ‘Berta’ skiing on the footer cannot currently be stopped or faded out, which means that criterion 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide is not met.
- There is currently no option to skip large blocks of content using keyboard shortcuts. Criterion 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks is therefore not fulfilled.
- Some links have an inadequate description and can therefore only be understood by screen reader users under certain circumstances. Criterion 2.4.4 Link Purpose (in Context) is therefore not fulfilled.
- Some clickable elements are smaller than 24x24 pixels, which means that criterion 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) is only partially fulfilled.
Incompatibilities with the accessibility regulations are regularly reviewed to ensure that all requirements are met as far as possible. We attach great importance to making continuous improvements and implementing any adjustments promptly in order to ensure accessible use.
b) Disproportionate burden
- Due to the form structure and technical implementation, forms on our website are currently not fully accessible. Input fields are not labelled, which makes it difficult for screen reader users to enter data. Input errors are not automatically read out by screen readers and are only inadequately described. The criteria 3.3.1 Error Identification, 3.3.3 Error Suggestion and 4.1.3 Status Messages are therefore not fulfilled. We are of the opinion that the rectification would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.
c) Content outside the scope of applicable legal provisions
The website contains older documents and content that are not accessible. As these were published before 28 June 2025, they are exempt from the “Barrierefreiheitsgesetz”, and no comprehensive updates are currently planned.
The website also includes third-party documents and content that we neither develop, finance, nor control. As such, we cannot guarantee their compliance with accessibility standards, and they are therefore also exempt from the requirements of the “Barrierefreiheitsgesetz”.
Creation of this accessibility statement
This statement was created on 19th of February 2025.
The website’s compliance with the “Barrierefreiheitsgesetz” was assessed through a self-evaluation based on WCAG 2.2 (Level AA) standards.
