Accessibility Statement
We are committed to making our website accessible in accordance with the Austrian “Barrierefreiheitsgesetz”, implementing the European Accessibility Directive (EU) 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services.
This accessibility statement applies to skischule-fiss-ladis.at.
Further information on the contract conclusion (description of our services, explanations on the execution of our services) can be found here: General terms and conditions
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.2” and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 due to the following incompatibilities and/or exemptions.
Non-Accessible Content
The following content is not fully accessible for the reasons outlined below:
a) Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- Meaningful alternative texts (alt texts) are provided for the majority of the images used on this website. However, due to technical circumstances, a few images may currently appear without alt text. We are continuously working on closing these gaps and providing suitable alternative texts for all remaining images. This means that criterion 1.1.1 (text alternatives) is only partially fulfilled.
Incompatibilities with the accessibility regulations are regularly reviewed to ensure that all requirements are met as far as possible. We attach great importance to making continuous improvements and implementing any adjustments promptly in order to ensure accessible use.
b) Disproportionate burden
- Individual interactive elements of the website - particularly in the online store area - are currently not fully operable via the keyboard. The complete adaptation of all functions for unrestricted keyboard use requires extensive technical changes, which currently represent a disproportionate burden for us in terms of the applicable legal provisions. We are endeavoring to implement future developments as accessible as possible. If you have any difficulties using the website, especially when making bookings or placing orders, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or e-mail. We will be happy to assist you with your request. This concerns criterion 2.1.1 (keyboard accessibility).
- The requirements of criteria 1.2.3 (audio description or media alternative) and 1.2.5 (audio description recorded) cannot currently be met in full. The provision of audio descriptions or complete media alternatives for all video content is associated with a considerable organizational and technical effort, which currently represents a disproportionate burden for us in accordance with the legal requirements. However, we take care to include accessible alternatives for newly created content wherever possible.
- Some content on this website is difficult to understand for users of screen readers. This applies in particular to criterion 1.3.1 (Info and relationships), which requires correct semantic labeling of content. At present, not all structural and content-related relationships - such as heading hierarchies, labels or relationships between elements - have been implemented in such a way that they can be fully and comprehensibly understood by screen readers. The comprehensive reworking of all existing content is associated with considerable effort and currently represents a disproportionate burden in terms of the applicable regulations. However, we are endeavoring to make new content as accessible as possible and to gradually improve existing content.
c) Content outside the scope of applicable legal provisions
- The website contains older documents and content that are not accessible. As these were published before 28 June 2025, they are exempt from the “Barrierefreiheitsgesetz”, and no comprehensive updates are currently planned.
- The website also includes third-party documents and content that we neither develop, finance, nor control. As such, we cannot guarantee their compliance with accessibility standards, and they are therefore also exempt from the requirements of the “Barrierefreiheitsgesetz”.
